Corporate/Investor Summit on Goverance in Highly Volatile Times

Held in conjunction with the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN)

Few investors and issuers can remember living through more unpredictable markets. How can we step back, take a breath and try to gain some perspective on the current state of the capital markets and world economy? What are the implications for risk -taking, access to capital and maintaining adequate returns for corporations and for investors? The Conference Board's Corporate Governance Center will discuss these issues at its Corporate/Investor Summit on the topic of Governance in Highly Volatile Times, on Tuesday, December 9th in Wilmington, Delaware.

We will hear a discussion of the economic outlook and also explore the financial stability research that The Conference Board has developed. Discussions will look at both the macro and micro views of how best to think about the funding and investment issues that face us.

We will also look at how companies are thinking on a micro level about their risk management capabilities in a conversation with board and audit committee members.

On December 10th this discussion continues at the ICGN's 2008 Mid-year meeting. Information on this program can be found at www.icgn.org/conferences/2008/delaware/. Members of the Governance Center receive a discounted conference rate for the ICGN event.

Join us as the Governance Center and the ICGN team up to look for approaches to weather and grow in the current environment.
