Help With Purchasing Publications
How can I purchase a publication online?
Simply select the publication you would like to purchase and follow the instructions we provide. Select whether
you would like to recieve your publication in hard copy or electronic format (PDF) and if you would like to pay by
credit card or be billed at a later date. (credit card payment is required for PDF orders)
In what formats are publications available?
We offer most of our publications in PDF format and with a
credit card payment you may download the report instantly as a PDF and read and print the report in
Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or 5.0. Or we can send you a hard copy of the report in
just a few days.
What if I don't want to download the report?
If you don't pay by credit card you are automatically sent a hard copy of the report. If you choose to make
your purchase by credit card you are offered the opportunity to "Select format" on the order form. Simply
select "Hard copy" and it will be shipped to you within a week.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You may also choose to billed later for the purchase of
reports in hard copy, though the reports will not be sent to you until we have received your final payment
(unless you are a member of The Conference Board or your total purchase is less than $100).
Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes. We use a program called Verisign to transfer your credit card
information in a scrambled format to a secure server. If you still have reservations about using your credit
card online, you may choose to be billed later for hard-copy purchases (see restrictions in previous question),
or you may order over the phone by calling our Customer Service department at +1 212 339 0345 between 8:30 a.m.
and 6 p.m. EST Monday through Friday.
How do I access my report once I have paid for it with my credit card?
Once your credit card is processed, you will be immediately taken to a Webpage
(www.conference-board.org/shop/download.cfm)
that contains a link to any electronic publications you have purchased in the past 30 days. You must have
Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or 5.0 to download the reports. Depending on your
browser, the reports will either open instantly or you will be asked whether you want to open them or save
them to a disk.
What if I lose my connection or I get an error while trying to download?
After you place your order, you will receive an e-mail confirming your purchase. That e-mail will contain a
link to a site (
www.conference-board.org/shop/download.cfm) where you can log in using your e-mail address and the password
you selected during your purchase to try and download the publication again. You will have up to 30 days to
download the publication. (More on downloading.)
I have Acrobat Reader, but my report looks strange when I open it.
You may have an old version of the software that is not compatible with our files. Click
here to download the latest version.
Why are the items I selected not appearing in my shopping cart?
Your "cookies" may not be turned on in your internet browser. (How to turn them on.)
A "cookie" is a unique group of letters placed in your computer to remember your information. The Conference
Board's cookie is a text file and won't damage your computer. See our
